The Gourley Family Christmas Party 2011

The Gourley Family Christmas Party was a blast. We had a delicious dinner followed by yummy desserts and good company to visit with.

When we were done eating we started the gift exchange (it’s like a white elephant gift exchange with class; each person brings a gift for $20, and they are always nice).  We weren’t able to participate this year, but it was still fun to watch people open the gifts and get them stolen away.

Our family got some gifts outside of the gift exchange though. Jan got Elyas a cute little musical lion. Elyas loves it, but we think that we are going to mute it a bit with some duct tape; that way Elyas can still enjoy the musical toy without waking daddy up in the mornings. Kim received a beautiful colorful handmade scarf from Aunt Chris. November received some clothing and blankets from Aunt Jan. The family received a really nice, soft Christmas blanket from Aunt Jan; we love it. We love all of our gifts.

We were glad we got to go and see everyone, it was so fun. Thanks to those of you who gave us gifts this year, it was really thoughtful and sweet.
