Today
has been the perfect day; sunshine, smiles, and lots of love.
Kim
decided to get all her chores done last night before going to bed (sacrificing
sleep) so that she could spend more time with the family; especially Elyas, who
has been feeling a little left out lately.
Kim
and Elyas dyed Easter Eggs together after breakfast; Elyas thought it was
great. He had a lot of fun dipping the
eggs in the dye and taking them back out again over and over. There were a few big splashes, but not a big
deal, it was an easy clean up.
Kim
and the Kids went for a walk around the neighborhood after they finished with
the eggs. It was a beautiful walk; it is
so nice to have the sun out and no more of that winter weather. Spring finally seems to have arrived today.
Kim
and Chris were able to spend some quality time together after Elyas and
November both went down for a nap. It
was nice being able to spend time together since it is rare that it is just us,
no kids and no homework.
After
lunch Elyas and Kim played ball outside with the ball Elyas got in his Easter
Basket on Easter Morning. He loves his
ball and he had so much fun tossing, bouncing, and rolling it around outside. Kim had a lot of fun with him too; it is nice
that she was able to make time to be able to spend playing with the kids and
not worrying about chores and other hustle-bustles of life.
Chris
was able to take a nap while Elyas, November, and Kim had music time
together. Elyas loved it and wanted to
do the same songs over and over. It is
great when he builds up enough courage to act out the motions that go with the
songs; he does a really good job.
November loved it too; especially Popcorn Popping on the Apricot Tree,
but when we did “Once There Was a Snowman” she began to cry because the “tall
tall tall” part scared her.
I love perfect days and yours sounds like a really perfect day.
