On Thursday, Elyas and Kim
were having story time when he brought her his book The Ear Book, and started
saying "Tic Toc, Tic Toc". It was so cute. His vocabulary
is starting to broaden, which we are pretty excited about. He repeated
his new words to Chris that same evening during bedtime, during which we always
read him three books. Chris was so proud and impressed.
Elyas also reached a landmark on Thursday. He laid down next
to Kim during story time, reached down and pulled the covers over himself and then
held the book up for his mom to read to him. That was the very first time
he has ever covered himself. Hooray!
On Friday Elyas started talking in full sentences, all in baby
gibberish, but all the sounds he was making were new and nicely put together.
We are very excited, because we know he will be talking pretty soon.
He now says: Mama, mom, dada, daddy, hi, wow, tic toc, and baby.
November update:
November has not yet arrived, she is 6 days past her due date and we are hoping she comes by Valentines Day.
We got a delivery of clothes from one of Kim's church friends, 8 boxes worth. We were very excited and happy about that. A lot of the clothes are for when November is a little older, but there are quite a few newborn clothes and we welcome them. This however, means that Kim has a lot of sorting to do, but was told by another church friend that if she's not up to the task, that she would be willing to take the clothes and sort them out for her. We are surrounded by good friends.
We are all waiting for the fair young miss to appear. Keep in touch.
